Girls For Good was founded in 2016 with the strong belief that the key to engaging girls in STEM is to engage them in the world. It is a social enterprise to engage girls in the exciting journey to discover, explore, and create sustainable solutions to the world’s most pressing challenges. Sustainability is the crucial intersection between the protecting the environment, advancing society, and developing the economy. Creative sustainability solutions will be found by inspiring the next generation of girls with hands-on experience in science, engineering, technology and math (STEM) focused on changing the world.

Girls For Good is was started by Kristalee Overdahl whose love of tinkering and solving puzzles and riddles turned into an interest in science and math and then a BSE in Chemical Engineering from Princeton University. Her professional pursuits led her to Accenture and A.T. Kearney to do strategy consulting for Fortune 500 companies in the energy, pharmaceutical, and chemical sectors and an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. Her passion for saving the world led her to the nonprofit sector helping hospitals, health systems, local nonprofits achieve their missions to the community and society. Girls For Good is the opportunity to act boldly and creatively to find solutions in the intersection between for-profit and nonprofit pursuits.
